This project involved a substantial area of sandstone paving leading to a circular lawn. Two types of Indian stone were used, Raj Green and Kandala Grey. This provided a visual break among the large area of paving; we also used 4 different sizes of paving (in both colours) to create an informal pattern. Raj Green edging cobbles were used throughout to link the different paving types together.
A separate area of paving was constructed at the top of the garden using a semi-circle of railway sleepers concreted into the ground. The sleepers are set in vertically at varied heights which adds interest and also acts to create a separate room within the garden.
A small area of composite decking was also constructed to provide access to the back doors of the property.
The garden was completed with the erection of a bespoke timber fence running along the boundaries providing ultimate privacy. Decorative gravel was also imported onto the exposed borders.
